Part-time HR Adminstrator

Location: Wayne, PA
Status:Part-time, Employee (25 hours per week)
Local Candidates preferred. Must be able to work unrestricted in US. No Agencies.

Reporting directly to the Associate HR Director within our Human Resources Department, the HR Adminstrator’s primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Payroll
    • Prepare company payroll bi-weekly.
    • Perform maintenance of employee records and prepare reports.
    • Maintain employee’s personnel folders.
    • Ensure the integrity of the process.
  • Benefits
    • Register employees with our providers, handle changes and terminations, conduct periodic audits.
    • Help in answering questions and addressing benefits issues
    • Support the collection and distribution of benefits information
    • Maintain employee’s benefits folders.
    • Administer COBRA enrollments and terminations
    • Administer disability claims
  • Communication
    • Contribute to internal communication media needs
    • Distribute HR communiqués
    • Design and deliver consistent HR communications
  • Administer the New Employee Orientation process
    • Schedule training and notify participants
    • Compile training materials
    • Support instructional design activities such as editing, formatting, and development
  • Policies and Procedures
    • Help to update and maintain Employee Handbook
    • Participate in development of new policies
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

The successful candidate will have a combination of the following skills/experience:

  • Basic understanding of HR principles with 2 years practical experience in at least one HR area (e.g. Benefits administration, training & development, recruiting, compensation).
  • Bachelors degree
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • The individual must demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and self-monitor work to ensure quality.
  • The individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
